IMPose: Interactive Multi-person Pose Estimation with Dynamic Correction PropagationHaoyang Ge, Jian Ma, Ziwen Wang et al.
High-quality dynamic human pose annotation equips AI with precise motion kinematics to enable human behavior mastery, yet remains labor-intensive and time-consuming. Current annotation tools either lack temporal correction propagation or fail in multi-person scenarios, necessitating excessive manual intervention. In this paper, we introduce IMPose, an interactive tool for multi-person dynamic pose annotation. It features a dual-level tracking mechanism that propagates one-frame multi-person pose corrections from annotators across entire videos. The keypoint-level ensures corrections temporal propagation via sequential modeling, while the instance-level employs keypoint-aware embedding with relative positional encoding to maintain multi-person cross-frame consistency. To further improve robustness, IMPose maintains historical pose and instance cues in a trajectory bank, which enhances long-range temporal association and stabilizes annotation in challenging cases such as occlusion and motion blur. By converting sparse human corrections into dense and coherent pose trajectories, our framework significantly reduces repeated manual refinement across frames. Extensive experiments show that IMPose consistently achieves a strong accuracy efficiency trade off under different interaction budgets, demonstrating particular advantages in low click annotation settings. IMPose achieves high precision annotation with high efficiency, requiring only 27 clicks per 1,050 frame video on 3DPW and 3 clicks per tracklet per 84-frame on PoseTrack21. We further expand PoseTrack21 with 188K pose instances (3.55M keypoints) at a minimal cost of 10 annotators in 10 hours. The annotation tool, codes, and extended dataset will be open-sourced.

UC-OWOD: Unknown-Classified Open World Object DetectionZhiheng Wu, Yue Lu, Xingyu Chen et al.
Open World Object Detection (OWOD) is a challenging computer vision problem that requires detecting unknown objects and gradually learning the identified unknown classes. However, it cannot distinguish unknown instances as multiple unknown classes. In this work, we propose a novel OWOD problem called Unknown-Classified Open World Object Detection (UC-OWOD). UC-OWOD aims to detect unknown instances and classify them into different unknown classes. Besides, we formulate the problem and devise a two-stage object detector to solve UC-OWOD. First, unknown label-aware proposal and unknown-discriminative classification head are used to detect known and unknown objects. Then, similarity-based unknown classification and unknown clustering refinement modules are constructed to distinguish multiple unknown classes. Moreover, two novel evaluation protocols are designed to evaluate unknown-class detection. Abundant experiments and visualizations prove the effectiveness of the proposed method. FoPro: Few-Shot Guided Robust Webly-Supervised Prototypical LearningYulei Qin, Xingyu Chen, Chao Chen et al.
Recently, webly supervised learning (WSL) has been studied to leverage numerous and accessible data from the Internet. Most existing methods focus on learning noise-robust models from web images while neglecting the performance drop caused by the differences between web domain and real-world domain. However, only by tackling the performance gap above can we fully exploit the practical value of web datasets. To this end, we propose a Few-shot guided Prototypical (FoPro) representation learning method, which only needs a few labeled examples from reality and can significantly improve the performance in the real-world domain. Specifically, we initialize each class center with few-shot real-world data as the ``realistic" prototype. Then, the intra-class distance between web instances and ``realistic" prototypes is narrowed by contrastive learning. Finally, we measure image-prototype distance with a learnable metric. Prototypes are polished by adjacent high-quality web images and involved in removing distant out-of-distribution samples. In experiments, FoPro is trained on web datasets with a few real-world examples guided and evaluated on real-world datasets. Our method achieves the state-of-the-art performance on three fine-grained datasets and two large-scale datasets. ECO-TR: Efficient Correspondences Finding Via Coarse-to-Fine RefinementDongli Tan, Jiang-Jiang Liu, Xingyu Chen et al. · tencent-ai
Modeling sparse and dense image matching within a unified functional correspondence model has recently attracted increasing research interest. However, existing efforts mainly focus on improving matching accuracy while ignoring its efficiency, which is crucial for realworld applications. In this paper, we propose an efficient structure named Efficient Correspondence Transformer (ECO-TR) by finding correspondences in a coarse-to-fine manner, which significantly improves the efficiency of functional correspondence model. To achieve this, multiple transformer blocks are stage-wisely connected to gradually refine the predicted coordinates upon a shared multi-scale feature extraction network. Given a pair of images and for arbitrary query coordinates, all the correspondences are predicted within a single feed-forward pass. We further propose an adaptive query-clustering strategy and an uncertainty-based outlier detection module to cooperate with the proposed framework for faster and better predictions. Experiments on various sparse and dense matching tasks demonstrate the superiority of our method in both efficiency and effectiveness against existing state-of-the-arts.

Harnessing Structural Context for Entity Alignment Foundation ModelsXingyu Chen, Yuanning Cui, Zequn Sun et al.
Entity alignment (EA) aims to identify equivalent entities across heterogeneous knowledge graphs (KGs) and is a key component of knowledge fusion and cross-KG reasoning. The recent EA foundation model demonstrates that alignment knowledge, once pretrained, can be directly applied to diverse previously unseen KG pairs. However, it still underuses structural context in two places: cross-KG interaction is weak during encoding, and final candidate ranking still relies too heavily on coarse similarity. We address these limitations with ContextEA, an enhanced encoder-decoder framework for transferable EA. On the encoder side, we introduce a cross-KG interaction encoder that unifies the two KGs with anchor bridges and performs earlier relation-aware cross-graph propagation. On the decoder side, we introduce a structural calibration decoder that calibrates alignment scores with entity-level, neighborhood-level, relation-level, and anchor-aware structural evidence. This design strengthens both structural context construction and structural context exploitation while remaining lightweight. Experiments on 29 EA datasets in OpenEA, SRPRS, and DBP show consistent gains over strong transferable baselines. Notably, the pretrained ContextEA already surpasses the finetuned baselines on all three benchmark groups, demonstrating substantially stronger transfer to unseen KGs. These results suggest that explicitly harnessing structural context is an effective direction for improving EA foundation models.

Hand Avatar: Free-Pose Hand Animation and Rendering from Monocular VideoXingyu Chen, Baoyuan Wang, Heung-Yeung Shum
We present HandAvatar, a novel representation for hand animation and rendering, which can generate smoothly compositional geometry and self-occlusion-aware texture. Specifically, we first develop a MANO-HD model as a high-resolution mesh topology to fit personalized hand shapes. Sequentially, we decompose hand geometry into per-bone rigid parts, and then re-compose paired geometry encodings to derive an across-part consistent occupancy field. As for texture modeling, we propose a self-occlusion-aware shading field (SelF). In SelF, drivable anchors are paved on the MANO-HD surface to record albedo information under a wide variety of hand poses. Moreover, directed soft occupancy is designed to describe the ray-to-surface relation, which is leveraged to generate an illumination field for the disentanglement of pose-independent albedo and pose-dependent illumination. Trained from monocular video data, our HandAvatar can perform free-pose hand animation and rendering while at the same time achieving superior appearance fidelity. TIE: Topological Information Enhanced Structural Reading Comprehension on Web PagesZihan Zhao, Lu Chen, Ruisheng Cao et al.
Recently, the structural reading comprehension (SRC) task on web pages has attracted increasing research interests. Although previous SRC work has leveraged extra information such as HTML tags or XPaths, the informative topology of web pages is not effectively exploited. In this work, we propose a Topological Information Enhanced model (TIE), which transforms the token-level task into a tag-level task by introducing a two-stage process (i.e. node locating and answer refining). Based on that, TIE integrates Graph Attention Network (GAT) and Pre-trained Language Model (PLM) to leverage the topological information of both logical structures and spatial structures. Experimental results demonstrate that our model outperforms strong baselines and achieves state-of-the-art performances on the web-based SRC benchmark WebSRC at the time of writing. META-GUI: Towards Multi-modal Conversational Agents on Mobile GUILiangtai Sun, Xingyu Chen, Lu Chen et al.
Task-oriented dialogue (TOD) systems have been widely used by mobile phone intelligent assistants to accomplish tasks such as calendar scheduling or hotel reservation. Current TOD systems usually focus on multi-turn text/speech interaction, then they would call back-end APIs designed for TODs to perform the task. However, this API-based architecture greatly limits the information-searching capability of intelligent assistants and may even lead to task failure if TOD-specific APIs are not available or the task is too complicated to be executed by the provided APIs. In this paper, we propose a new TOD architecture: GUI-based task-oriented dialogue system (GUI-TOD). A GUI-TOD system can directly perform GUI operations on real APPs and execute tasks without invoking TOD-specific backend APIs. Furthermore, we release META-GUI, a dataset for training a Multi-modal convErsaTional Agent on mobile GUI. We also propose a multi-model action prediction and response model, which show promising results on META-GUI. The dataset, codes and leaderboard are publicly available.

CAPro: Webly Supervised Learning with Cross-Modality Aligned PrototypesYulei Qin, Xingyu Chen, Yunhang Shen et al.
Webly supervised learning has attracted increasing attention for its effectiveness in exploring publicly accessible data at scale without manual annotation. However, most existing methods of learning with web datasets are faced with challenges from label noise, and they have limited assumptions on clean samples under various noise. For instance, web images retrieved with queries of tiger cat (a cat species) and drumstick (a musical instrument) are almost dominated by images of tigers and chickens, which exacerbates the challenge of fine-grained visual concept learning. In this case, exploiting both web images and their associated texts is a requisite solution to combat real-world noise. In this paper, we propose Cross-modality Aligned Prototypes (CAPro), a unified prototypical contrastive learning framework to learn visual representations with correct semantics. For one thing, we leverage textual prototypes, which stem from the distinct concept definition of classes, to select clean images by text matching and thus disambiguate the formation of visual prototypes. For another, to handle missing and mismatched noisy texts, we resort to the visual feature space to complete and enhance individual texts and thereafter improve text matching. Such semantically aligned visual prototypes are further polished up with high-quality samples, and engaged in both cluster regularization and noise removal. Besides, we propose collective bootstrapping to encourage smoother and wiser label reference from appearance-similar instances in a manner of dictionary look-up. Extensive experiments on WebVision1k and NUS-WIDE (Web) demonstrate that CAPro well handles realistic noise under both single-label and multi-label scenarios. Local-to-Global Registration for Bundle-Adjusting Neural Radiance FieldsYue Chen, Xingyu Chen, Xuan Wang et al.
Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) have achieved photorealistic novel views synthesis; however, the requirement of accurate camera poses limits its application. Despite analysis-by-synthesis extensions for jointly learning neural 3D representations and registering camera frames exist, they are susceptible to suboptimal solutions if poorly initialized. We propose L2G-NeRF, a Local-to-Global registration method for bundle-adjusting Neural Radiance Fields: first, a pixel-wise flexible alignment, followed by a frame-wise constrained parametric alignment. Pixel-wise local alignment is learned in an unsupervised way via a deep network which optimizes photometric reconstruction errors. Frame-wise global alignment is performed using differentiable parameter estimation solvers on the pixel-wise correspondences to find a global transformation. Experiments on synthetic and real-world data show that our method outperforms the current state-of-the-art in terms of high-fidelity reconstruction and resolving large camera pose misalignment. UV Volumes for Real-time Rendering of Editable Free-view Human PerformanceYue Chen, Xuan Wang, Xingyu Chen et al.
Neural volume rendering enables photo-realistic renderings of a human performer in free-view, a critical task in immersive VR/AR applications. But the practice is severely limited by high computational costs in the rendering process. To solve this problem, we propose the UV Volumes, a new approach that can render an editable free-view video of a human performer in real-time. It separates the high-frequency (i.e., non-smooth) human appearance from the 3D volume, and encodes them into 2D neural texture stacks (NTS). The smooth UV volumes allow much smaller and shallower neural networks to obtain densities and texture coordinates in 3D while capturing detailed appearance in 2D NTS. For editability, the mapping between the parameterized human model and the smooth texture coordinates allows us a better generalization on novel poses and shapes. Furthermore, the use of NTS enables interesting applications, e.g., retexturing. Extensive experiments on CMU Panoptic, ZJU Mocap, and H36M datasets show that our model can render 960 x 540 images in 30FPS on average with comparable photo-realism to state-of-the-art methods. Mimic3D: Thriving 3D-Aware GANs via 3D-to-2D ImitationXingyu Chen, Yu Deng, Baoyuan Wang
Generating images with both photorealism and multiview 3D consistency is crucial for 3D-aware GANs, yet existing methods struggle to achieve them simultaneously. Improving the photorealism via CNN-based 2D super-resolution can break the strict 3D consistency, while keeping the 3D consistency by learning high-resolution 3D representations for direct rendering often compromises image quality. In this paper, we propose a novel learning strategy, namely 3D-to-2D imitation, which enables a 3D-aware GAN to generate high-quality images while maintaining their strict 3D consistency, by letting the images synthesized by the generator's 3D rendering branch to mimic those generated by its 2D super-resolution branch. We also introduce 3D-aware convolutions into the generator for better 3D representation learning, which further improves the image generation quality. With the above strategies, our method reaches FID scores of 5.4 and 4.3 on FFHQ and AFHQ-v2 Cats, respectively, at 512x512 resolution, largely outperforming existing 3D-aware GANs using direct 3D rendering and coming very close to the previous state-of-the-art method that leverages 2D super-resolution. Simple Contrastive Representation Learning for Time Series ForecastingXiaochen Zheng, Xingyu Chen, Manuel Schürch et al.
Contrastive learning methods have shown an impressive ability to learn meaningful representations for image or time series classification. However, these methods are less effective for time series forecasting, as optimization of instance discrimination is not directly applicable to predicting the future state from the historical context. To address these limitations, we propose SimTS, a simple representation learning approach for improving time series forecasting by learning to predict the future from the past in the latent space. SimTS exclusively uses positive pairs and does not depend on negative pairs or specific characteristics of a given time series. In addition, we show the shortcomings of the current contrastive learning framework used for time series forecasting through a detailed ablation study. Overall, our work suggests that SimTS is a promising alternative to other contrastive learning approaches for time series forecasting.

Rethinking Word-Level Auto-Completion in Computer-Aided TranslationXingyu Chen, Lemao Liu, Guoping Huang et al. · tencent-ai
Word-Level Auto-Completion (WLAC) plays a crucial role in Computer-Assisted Translation. It aims at providing word-level auto-completion suggestions for human translators. While previous studies have primarily focused on designing complex model architectures, this paper takes a different perspective by rethinking the fundamental question: what kind of words are good auto-completions? We introduce a measurable criterion to answer this question and discover that existing WLAC models often fail to meet this criterion. Building upon this observation, we propose an effective approach to enhance WLAC performance by promoting adherence to the criterion. Notably, the proposed approach is general and can be applied to various encoder-based architectures. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that our approach outperforms the top-performing system submitted to the WLAC shared tasks in WMT2022, while utilizing significantly smaller model sizes.

Self-Supervised Monocular Depth Estimation: Solving the Edge-Fattening ProblemXingyu Chen, Ruonan Zhang, Ji Jiang et al.
Self-supervised monocular depth estimation (MDE) models universally suffer from the notorious edge-fattening issue. Triplet loss, as a widespread metric learning strategy, has largely succeeded in many computer vision applications. In this paper, we redesign the patch-based triplet loss in MDE to alleviate the ubiquitous edge-fattening issue. We show two drawbacks of the raw triplet loss in MDE and demonstrate our problem-driven redesigns. First, we present a min. operator based strategy applied to all negative samples, to prevent well-performing negatives sheltering the error of edge-fattening negatives. Second, we split the anchor-positive distance and anchor-negative distance from within the original triplet, which directly optimizes the positives without any mutual effect with the negatives. Extensive experiments show the combination of these two small redesigns can achieve unprecedented results: Our powerful and versatile triplet loss not only makes our model outperform all previous SoTA by a large margin, but also provides substantial performance boosts to a large number of existing models, while introducing no extra inference computation at all.

Using Detection, Tracking and Prediction in Visual SLAM to Achieve Real-time Semantic Mapping of Dynamic ScenariosXingyu Chen, Jianru Xue, Jianwu Fang et al.
In this paper, we propose a lightweight system, RDS-SLAM, based on ORB-SLAM2, which can accurately estimate poses and build semantic maps at object level for dynamic scenarios in real time using only one commonly used Intel Core i7 CPU. In RDS-SLAM, three major improvements, as well as major architectural modifications, are proposed to overcome the limitations of ORB-SLAM2. Firstly, it adopts a lightweight object detection neural network in key frames. Secondly, an efficient tracking and prediction mechanism is embedded into the system to remove the feature points belonging to movable objects in all incoming frames. Thirdly, a semantic octree map is built by probabilistic fusion of detection and tracking results, which enables a robot to maintain a semantic description at object level for potential interactions in dynamic scenarios. We evaluate RDS-SLAM in TUM RGB-D dataset, and experimental results show that RDS-SLAM can run with 30.3 ms per frame in dynamic scenarios using only an Intel Core i7 CPU, and achieves comparable accuracy compared with the state-of-the-art SLAM systems which heavily rely on both Intel Core i7 CPUs and powerful GPUs.

HAIC: Humanoid Agile Object Interaction Control via Dynamics-Aware World ModelDongting Li, Xingyu Chen, Qianyang Wu et al.
Humanoid robots show promise for complex whole-body tasks in unstructured environments. Although Human-Object Interaction (HOI) has advanced, most methods focus on fully actuated objects rigidly coupled to the robot, ignoring underactuated objects with independent dynamics and non-holonomic constraints. These introduce control challenges from coupling forces and occlusions. We present HAIC, a unified framework for robust interaction across diverse object dynamics without external state estimation. Our key contribution is a dynamics predictor that estimates high-order object states (velocity, acceleration) solely from proprioceptive history. These predictions are projected onto static geometric priors to form a spatially grounded dynamic occupancy map, enabling the policy to infer collision boundaries and contact affordances in blind spots. We use asymmetric fine-tuning, where a world model continuously adapts to the student policy's exploration, ensuring robust state estimation under distribution shifts. Experiments on a humanoid robot show HAIC achieves high success rates in agile tasks (skateboarding, cart pushing/pulling under various loads) by proactively compensating for inertial perturbations, and also masters multi-object long-horizon tasks like carrying a box across varied terrain by predicting the dynamics of multiple objects.

Frequency-Aware Self-Supervised Monocular Depth EstimationXingyu Chen, Thomas H. Li, Ruonan Zhang et al.
We present two versatile methods to generally enhance self-supervised monocular depth estimation (MDE) models. The high generalizability of our methods is achieved by solving the fundamental and ubiquitous problems in photometric loss function. In particular, from the perspective of spatial frequency, we first propose Ambiguity-Masking to suppress the incorrect supervision under photometric loss at specific object boundaries, the cause of which could be traced to pixel-level ambiguity. Second, we present a novel frequency-adaptive Gaussian low-pass filter, designed to robustify the photometric loss in high-frequency regions. We are the first to propose blurring images to improve depth estimators with an interpretable analysis. Both modules are lightweight, adding no parameters and no need to manually change the network structures. Experiments show that our methods provide performance boosts to a large number of existing models, including those who claimed state-of-the-art, while introducing no extra inference computation at all.

Sparse Semantic Map-Based Monocular Localization in Traffic Scenes Using Learned 2D-3D Point-Line CorrespondencesXingyu Chen, Jianru Xue, Shanmin Pang
Vision-based localization in a prior map is of crucial importance for autonomous vehicles. Given a query image, the goal is to estimate the camera pose corresponding to the prior map, and the key is the registration problem of camera images within the map. While autonomous vehicles drive on the road under occlusion (e.g., car, bus, truck) and changing environment appearance (e.g., illumination changes, seasonal variation), existing approaches rely heavily on dense point descriptors at the feature level to solve the registration problem, entangling features with appearance and occlusion. As a result, they often fail to estimate the correct poses. To address these issues, we propose a sparse semantic map-based monocular localization method, which solves 2D-3D registration via a well-designed deep neural network. Given a sparse semantic map that consists of simplified elements (e.g., pole lines, traffic sign midpoints) with multiple semantic labels, the camera pose is then estimated by learning the corresponding features between the 2D semantic elements from the image and the 3D elements from the sparse semantic map. The proposed sparse semantic map-based localization approach is robust against occlusion and long-term appearance changes in the environments. Extensive experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art approaches.

FastCLIP: A Suite of Optimization Techniques to Accelerate CLIP Training with Limited ResourcesXiyuan Wei, Fanjiang Ye, Ori Yonay et al.
Existing studies of training state-of-the-art Contrastive Language-Image Pretraining (CLIP) models on large-scale data involve hundreds of or even thousands of GPUs due to the requirement of a large batch size. However, such a large amount of resources is not accessible to most people. While advanced compositional optimization techniques for optimizing global contrastive losses have been demonstrated effective for removing the requirement of large batch size, their performance on large-scale data remains underexplored and not optimized. To bridge the gap, this paper explores several aspects of CLIP training with limited resources (e.g., up to tens of GPUs). First, we introduce FastCLIP, a general CLIP training framework built on advanced compositional optimization techniques while designed and optimized for the distributed setting. Our framework is equipped with an efficient gradient reduction strategy to reduce communication overhead. Second, to further boost training efficiency, we investigate three components of the framework from an optimization perspective: the schedule of the inner learning rate, the update rules of the temperature parameter and the model parameters, respectively. Experiments on different strategies for each component shed light on how to conduct CLIP training more efficiently. Finally, we benchmark the performance of FastCLIP and the state-of-the-art training baseline (OpenCLIP) on different compute scales up to 32 GPUs on 8 nodes, and three data scales ranging from 2.7 million, 9.1 million to 315 million image-text pairs to demonstrate the significant improvement of FastCLIP in the resource-limited setting. Reinforced Disentanglement for Face Swapping without Skip ConnectionXiaohang Ren, Xingyu Chen, Pengfei Yao et al.
The SOTA face swap models still suffer the problem of either target identity (i.e., shape) being leaked or the target non-identity attributes (i.e., background, hair) failing to be fully preserved in the final results. We show that this insufficient disentanglement is caused by two flawed designs that were commonly adopted in prior models: (1) counting on only one compressed encoder to represent both the semantic-level non-identity facial attributes(i.e., pose) and the pixel-level non-facial region details, which is contradictory to satisfy at the same time; (2) highly relying on long skip-connections between the encoder and the final generator, leaking a certain amount of target face identity into the result. To fix them, we introduce a new face swap framework called 'WSC-swap' that gets rid of skip connections and uses two target encoders to respectively capture the pixel-level non-facial region attributes and the semantic non-identity attributes in the face region. To further reinforce the disentanglement learning for the target encoder, we employ both identity removal loss via adversarial training (i.e., GAN) and the non-identity preservation loss via prior 3DMM models like [11]. Extensive experiments on both FaceForensics++ and CelebA-HQ show that our results significantly outperform previous works on a rich set of metrics, including one novel metric for measuring identity consistency that was completely neglected before.

Due to the representation limitation of the joint Q value function, multi-agent reinforcement learning methods with linear value decomposition (LVD) or monotonic value decomposition (MVD) suffer from relative overgeneralization. As a result, they can not ensure optimal consistency (i.e., the correspondence between individual greedy actions and the maximal true Q value). In this paper, we derive the expression of the joint Q value function of LVD and MVD. According to the expression, we draw a transition diagram, where each self-transition node (STN) is a possible convergence. To ensure optimal consistency, the optimal node is required to be the unique STN. Therefore, we propose the greedy-based value representation (GVR), which turns the optimal node into an STN via inferior target shaping and further eliminates the non-optimal STNs via superior experience replay. In addition, GVR achieves an adaptive trade-off between optimality and stability. Our method outperforms state-of-the-art baselines in experiments on various benchmarks. Theoretical proofs and empirical results on matrix games demonstrate that GVR ensures optimal consistency under sufficient exploration.

Place Recognition under Occlusion and Changing Appearance via Disentangled RepresentationsYue Chen, Xingyu Chen, Yicen Li
Place recognition is a critical and challenging task for mobile robots, aiming to retrieve an image captured at the same place as a query image from a database. Existing methods tend to fail while robots move autonomously under occlusion (e.g., car, bus, truck) and changing appearance (e.g., illumination changes, seasonal variation). Because they encode the image into only one code, entangling place features with appearance and occlusion features. To overcome this limitation, we propose PROCA, an unsupervised approach to decompose the image representation into three codes: a place code used as a descriptor to retrieve images, an appearance code that captures appearance properties, and an occlusion code that encodes occlusion content. Recent feed-forward geometry foundation models have demonstrated impressive generalization by recovering depth and poses in a single forward pass. However, these models are typically constrained by a global coordinate frame assumption. This dependency becomes a significant bottleneck for long-context and streaming reconstruction, as it forces the network to maintain an arbitrary temporal origin and handle translation magnitudes that grow unbounded over time. Our solution, which we call $R^3$, employs relative regression. We employ a lightweight MLP to predict confidence-weighted relative constraints. These confidences serve as a unified anchor: weighting losses during training and guiding pose aggregation during inference. $R^3$ supports both full-context offline reconstruction and causal, bounded-memory streaming. OASIS: Observation-Action Space Alignment via SE(3) Trajectory Prediction for Robotic ManipulationXinzhe Chen, Sihua Ren, Liqi Huang et al.
Recent vision-language-action (VLA) models and world action models (WAMs) advance robotic manipulation by enriching intermediate representations with auxiliary spatial features or future visual-state prediction. However, these representations largely remain within the observation space and do not share the rigid-body geometry of the action space, forcing the action decoder to implicitly recover this geometry. We propose OASIS, a visuomotor policy that aligns the intermediate representation with the action space via $SE(3)$ end-effector trajectory prediction. OASIS couples a 3D-aware feature encoder that fuses vision-language and metric-depth features with an $SE(3)$ trajectory predictor that produces a camera-frame end-effector trajectory. Conditioned on the predictor's pose-supervised hidden states, the action decoder generates action chunks consistent with rigid-body motion. Across simulation and real-world experiments, OASIS outperforms VLA and WAM baselines in success rate and out-of-distribution generalization. Portrait4D: Learning One-Shot 4D Head Avatar Synthesis using Synthetic DataYu Deng, Duomin Wang, Xiaohang Ren et al.
Existing one-shot 4D head synthesis methods usually learn from monocular videos with the aid of 3DMM reconstruction, yet the latter is evenly challenging which restricts them from reasonable 4D head synthesis. We present a method to learn one-shot 4D head synthesis via large-scale synthetic data. The key is to first learn a part-wise 4D generative model from monocular images via adversarial learning, to synthesize multi-view images of diverse identities and full motions as training data; then leverage a transformer-based animatable triplane reconstructor to learn 4D head reconstruction using the synthetic data. A novel learning strategy is enforced to enhance the generalizability to real images by disentangling the learning process of 3D reconstruction and reenactment. Experiments demonstrate our superiority over the prior art.

Thoughts Are All Over the Place: On the Underthinking of o1-Like LLMsYue Wang, Qiuzhi Liu, Jiahao Xu et al.
Large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI's o1 have demonstrated remarkable abilities in complex reasoning tasks by scaling test-time compute and exhibiting human-like deep thinking. However, we identify a phenomenon we term underthinking, where o1-like LLMs frequently switch between different reasoning thoughts without sufficiently exploring promising paths to reach a correct solution. This behavior leads to inadequate depth of reasoning and decreased performance, particularly on challenging mathematical problems. To systematically analyze this issue, we conduct experiments on three challenging test sets and two representative open-source o1-like models, revealing that frequent thought switching correlates with incorrect responses. We introduce a novel metric to quantify underthinking by measuring token efficiency in incorrect answers. To address underthinking, we propose a decoding strategy with thought switching penalty TIP that discourages premature transitions between thoughts, encouraging deeper exploration of each reasoning path. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach improves accuracy across challenging datasets without requiring model fine-tuning. Our findings contribute to understanding reasoning inefficiencies in o1-like LLMs and offer a practical solution to enhance their problem-solving capabilities.

ESMC: Entire Space Multi-Task Model for Post-Click Conversion Rate via Parameter ConstraintZhenhao Jiang, Biao Zeng, Hao Feng et al.
Large-scale online recommender system spreads all over the Internet being in charge of two basic tasks: Click-Through Rate (CTR) and Post-Click Conversion Rate (CVR) estimations. However, traditional CVR estimators suffer from well-known Sample Selection Bias and Data Sparsity issues. Entire space models were proposed to address the two issues via tracing the decision-making path of "exposure_click_purchase". Further, some researchers observed that there are purchase-related behaviors between click and purchase, which can better draw the user's decision-making intention and improve the recommendation performance. Thus, the decision-making path has been extended to "exposure_click_in-shop action_purchase" and can be modeled with conditional probability approach. Nevertheless, we observe that the chain rule of conditional probability does not always hold. We report Probability Space Confusion (PSC) issue and give a derivation of difference between ground-truth and estimation mathematically. We propose a novel Entire Space Multi-Task Model for Post-Click Conversion Rate via Parameter Constraint (ESMC) and two alternatives: Entire Space Multi-Task Model with Siamese Network (ESMS) and Entire Space Multi-Task Model in Global Domain (ESMG) to address the PSC issue. Specifically, we handle "exposure_click_in-shop action" and "in-shop action_purchase" separately in the light of characteristics of in-shop action. The first path is still treated with conditional probability while the second one is treated with parameter constraint strategy. Experiments on both offline and online environments in a large-scale recommendation system illustrate the superiority of our proposed methods over state-of-the-art models. DeepMath-103K: A Large-Scale, Challenging, Decontaminated, and Verifiable Mathematical Dataset for Advancing ReasoningZhiwei He, Tian Liang, Jiahao Xu et al.
Reinforcement learning (RL) with large language models shows promise in complex reasoning. However, its progress is hindered by the lack of large-scale training data that is sufficiently challenging, contamination-free and verifiable. To this end, we introduce DeepMath-103K, a large-scale mathematical dataset designed with high difficulty (primarily levels 5-9), rigorous decontamination against numerous benchmarks, and verifiable answers for rule-based RL reward. It further includes three distinct R1 solutions adaptable for diverse training paradigms such as supervised fine-tuning (SFT). Spanning a wide range of mathematical topics, DeepMath-103K fosters the development of generalizable and advancing reasoning. Notably, models trained on DeepMath-103K achieve state-of-the-art results on challenging mathematical benchmarks and demonstrate generalization beyond math such as biology, physics and chemistry, underscoring its broad efficacy. GlobalSplat: Efficient Feed-Forward 3D Gaussian Splatting via Global Scene TokensRoni Itkin, Noam Issachar, Yehonatan Keypur et al.
The efficient spatial allocation of primitives serves as the foundation of 3D Gaussian Splatting, as it directly dictates the synergy between representation compactness, reconstruction speed, and rendering fidelity. Previous solutions, whether based on iterative optimization or feed-forward inference, suffer from significant trade-offs between these goals, mainly due to the reliance on local, heuristic-driven allocation strategies that lack global scene awareness. Specifically, current feed-forward methods are largely pixel-aligned or voxel-aligned. By unprojecting pixels into dense, view-aligned primitives, they bake redundancy into the 3D asset. As more input views are added, the representation size increases and global consistency becomes fragile. To this end, we introduce GlobalSplat, a framework built on the principle of align first, decode later. Our approach learns a compact, global, latent scene representation that encodes multi-view input and resolves cross-view correspondences before decoding any explicit 3D geometry. Crucially, this formulation enables compact, globally consistent reconstructions without relying on pretrained pixel-prediction backbones or reusing latent features from dense baselines. Utilizing a coarse-to-fine training curriculum that gradually increases decoded capacity, GlobalSplat natively prevents representation bloat. On RealEstate10K and ACID, our model achieves competitive novel-view synthesis performance while utilizing as few as 16K Gaussians, significantly less than required by dense pipelines, obtaining a light 4MB footprint. Further, GlobalSplat enables significantly faster inference than the baselines, operating under 78 milliseconds in a single forward pass. On computing and the complexity of computing higher-order $U$-statistics, exactlyXingyu Chen, Ruiqi Zhang, Lin Liu
Higher-order $U$-statistics abound in fields such as statistics, machine learning, and computer science, but are known to be highly time-consuming to compute in practice. Despite their widespread appearance, a comprehensive study of their computational complexity is surprisingly lacking. This paper aims to fill this gap by presenting several results related to the computational aspect of $U$-statistics. First, we derive a useful decomposition from a $m$-th order $U$-statistic to a linear combination of $V$-statistics with orders not exceeding $m$, which are generally more feasible to compute. Second, we explore the connection between exactly computing $V$-statistics and Einstein summation, a tool often used in computational mathematics and quantum computing to accelerate tensor computations. Third, we provide an optimistic estimate of the time complexity for exactly computing $U$-statistics, based on the treewidth of a particular graph associated with the $U$-statistic kernel. The above ingredients lead to (1) a new, much more runtime-efficient algorithm to exactly compute general higher-order $U$-statistics, and (2) a more streamlined characterization of runtime complexity of computing $U$-statistics. We develop an accompanying open-source package called \texttt{u-stats} in both Python (https://github.com/zrq1706/U-Statistics-Python) and R (https://github.com/cxy0714/U-Statistics-R). We demonstrate through three examples in statistics that \texttt{u-stats} achieves impressive runtime performance compared to existing benchmarks. This paper also aspires to achieve two goals: (1) to capture the interest of researchers in both statistics and other related areas to further advance the algorithmic development of $U$-statistics and (2) to lift the burden of implementing higher-order $U$-statistics from practitioners.

Symbolic Graph Networks for Robust PDE Discovery from Noisy Sparse DataXingyu Chen, Junxiu An, Jun Guo et al.
Data-driven discovery of partial differential equations (PDEs) offers a promising paradigm for uncovering governing physical laws from observational data. However, in practical scenarios, measurements are often contaminated by noise and limited by sparse sampling, which poses significant challenges to existing approaches based on numerical differentiation or integral formulations. In this work, we propose a Symbolic Graph Network (SGN) framework for PDE discovery under noisy and sparse conditions. Instead of relying on local differential approximations, SGN leverages graph message passing to model spatial interactions, providing a non-local representation that is less sensitive to high frequency noise. Based on this representation, the learned latent features are further processed by a symbolic regression module to extract interpretable mathematical expressions. We evaluate the proposed method on several benchmark systems, including the wave equation, convection-diffusion equation, and incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. Experimental results show that SGN can recover meaningful governing relations or solution forms under varying noise levels, and demonstrates improved robustness compared to baseline methods in sparse and noisy settings. These results suggest that combining graph-based representations with symbolic regression provides a viable direction for robust data-driven discovery of physical laws from imperfect observations. MMRDN: Consistent Representation for Multi-View Manipulation Relationship Detection in Object-Stacked ScenesHan Wang, Jiayuan Zhang, Lipeng Wan et al.
Manipulation relationship detection (MRD) aims to guide the robot to grasp objects in the right order, which is important to ensure the safety and reliability of grasping in object stacked scenes. Previous works infer manipulation relationship by deep neural network trained with data collected from a predefined view, which has limitation in visual dislocation in unstructured environments. Multi-view data provide more comprehensive information in space, while a challenge of multi-view MRD is domain shift. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-view fusion framework, namely multi-view MRD network (MMRDN), which is trained by 2D and 3D multi-view data. We project the 2D data from different views into a common hidden space and fit the embeddings with a set of Von-Mises-Fisher distributions to learn the consistent representations. Besides, taking advantage of position information within the 3D data, we select a set of $K$ Maximum Vertical Neighbors (KMVN) points from the point cloud of each object pair, which encodes the relative position of these two objects. Finally, the features of multi-view 2D and 3D data are concatenated to predict the pairwise relationship of objects. Experimental results on the challenging REGRAD dataset show that MMRDN outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in multi-view MRD tasks. The results also demonstrate that our model trained by synthetic data is capable to transfer to real-world scenarios.

Differentiable Radio Frequency Ray Tracing for Millimeter-Wave SensingXingyu Chen, Xinyu Zhang, Qiyue Xia et al.
Millimeter wave (mmWave) sensing is an emerging technology with applications in 3D object characterization and environment mapping. However, realizing precise 3D reconstruction from sparse mmWave signals remains challenging. Existing methods rely on data-driven learning, constrained by dataset availability and difficulty in generalization. We propose DiffSBR, a differentiable framework for mmWave-based 3D reconstruction. DiffSBR incorporates a differentiable ray tracing engine to simulate radar point clouds from virtual 3D models. A gradient-based optimizer refines the model parameters to minimize the discrepancy between simulated and real point clouds. Experiments using various radar hardware validate DiffSBR's capability for fine-grained 3D reconstruction, even for novel objects unseen by the radar previously. By integrating physics-based simulation with gradient optimization, DiffSBR transcends the limitations of data-driven approaches and pioneers a new paradigm for mmWave sensing.

Easi3R: Estimating Disentangled Motion from DUSt3R Without TrainingXingyu Chen, Yue Chen, Yuliang Xiu et al.
Recent advances in DUSt3R have enabled robust estimation of dense point clouds and camera parameters of static scenes, leveraging Transformer network architectures and direct supervision on large-scale 3D datasets. In contrast, the limited scale and diversity of available 4D datasets present a major bottleneck for training a highly generalizable 4D model. This constraint has driven conventional 4D methods to fine-tune 3D models on scalable dynamic video data with additional geometric priors such as optical flow and depths. In this work, we take an opposite path and introduce Easi3R, a simple yet efficient training-free method for 4D reconstruction. Our approach applies attention adaptation during inference, eliminating the need for from-scratch pre-training or network fine-tuning. We find that the attention layers in DUSt3R inherently encode rich information about camera and object motion. By carefully disentangling these attention maps, we achieve accurate dynamic region segmentation, camera pose estimation, and 4D dense point map reconstruction. Extensive experiments on real-world dynamic videos demonstrate that our lightweight attention adaptation significantly outperforms previous state-of-the-art methods that are trained or finetuned on extensive dynamic datasets. VLingNav: Embodied Navigation with Adaptive Reasoning and Visual-Assisted Linguistic MemoryShaoan Wang, Yuanfei Luo, Xingyu Chen et al.
VLA models have shown promising potential in embodied navigation by unifying perception and planning while inheriting the strong generalization abilities of large VLMs. However, most existing VLA models rely on reactive mappings directly from observations to actions, lacking the explicit reasoning capabilities and persistent memory required for complex, long-horizon navigation tasks. To address these challenges, we propose VLingNav, a VLA model for embodied navigation grounded in linguistic-driven cognition. First, inspired by the dual-process theory of human cognition, we introduce an adaptive chain-of-thought mechanism, which dynamically triggers explicit reasoning only when necessary, enabling the agent to fluidly switch between fast, intuitive execution and slow, deliberate planning. Second, to handle long-horizon spatial dependencies, we develop a visual-assisted linguistic memory module that constructs a persistent, cross-modal semantic memory, enabling the agent to recall past observations to prevent repetitive exploration and infer movement trends for dynamic environments. For the training recipe, we construct Nav-AdaCoT-2.9M, the largest embodied navigation dataset with reasoning annotations to date, enriched with adaptive CoT annotations that induce a reasoning paradigm capable of adjusting both when to think and what to think about. Moreover, we incorporate an online expert-guided reinforcement learning stage, enabling the model to surpass pure imitation learning and to acquire more robust, self-explored navigation behaviors. Extensive experiments demonstrate that VLingNav achieves state-of-the-art performance across a wide range of embodied navigation benchmarks. Notably, VLingNav transfers to real-world robotic platforms in a zero-shot manner, executing various navigation tasks and demonstrating strong cross-domain and cross-task generalization.

VoxAfford: Multi-Scale Voxel-Token Fusion for Open-Vocabulary 3D Affordance DetectionHaowen Sun, Shaolong Zhang, Mingyang Li et al.
Open-vocabulary 3D affordance detection requires localizing interaction regions on point clouds given novel affordance descriptions. Recent methods extend multimodal large language models (MLLMs) with special output tokens that are decoded into segmentation masks. However, these tokens are produced through autoregressive generation, which models sequential dependencies rather than spatial neighborhood relations, leaving them semantically rich but spatially impoverished for 3D localization. We propose Voxel-enhanced Affordance detection (VoxAfford), which bypasses this bottleneck by injecting multi-scale geometric features from a frozen pre-trained 3D VQVAE encoder into the output tokens after generation. Each output token uses its affordance semantics as a query to retrieve relevant geometric patterns from its paired voxel scale via cross-attention, with a learned compatibility gate controlling the injection strength. The enhanced tokens are then aggregated into a spatially-aware affordance prompt through semantic-conditioned attention and propagated alongside per-point features to generate the final mask. Experiments on open-vocabulary affordance detection tasks show that VoxAfford achieves state-of-the-art performance with approximately an 8% improvement in mIoU, and real robot experiments confirm zero-shot transfer to novel objects.

Remote Teleoperation of Endovascular Intervention Robots: A Systematic ReviewXingyu Chen, Yinchao Yang, Nikola Fischer et al.
Remote robotic-assisted endovascular intervention offers a promising approach to reduce clinician radiation exposure and physical strain, while extending specialized vascular care to geographically distant regions. Despite advancements, teleoperated endovascular intervention remains underexplored, especially for time-sensitive interventions like mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke. The aim of the current review was to determine the evidence regarding teleoperated endovascular robotic systems, covering technical feasibility, communication infrastructure, and clinical outcomes. The review further identified research gaps and future directions. Following PRISMA guidelines, 16 studies were included that met the inclusion criteria out of 2501 initial search results. We found that teleoperated catheters and guidewires, driven by mechanical or electromagnetic systems, can be navigated across distances up to 7000 km. With robust communication infrastructure, network latency remained within clinically acceptable limits (30-163 ms). Although initial outcomes highlighted 100% procedural success in small-scale human trials, most evidence stemmed from animal or phantom models. Overall, the findings suggest that teleoperated endovascular intervention can reduce occupational hazards, expand patient access to urgent procedures, and optimize resource allocation. Future research should be conducted in low and middle income countries to demonstrate broader geographical access. Ultimately, multi-center clinical trials are required to validate the safety, efficacy, and generalization in diverse clinical settings.

HAVE-FUN: Human Avatar Reconstruction from Few-Shot Unconstrained ImagesXihe Yang, Xingyu Chen, Daiheng Gao et al.
As for human avatar reconstruction, contemporary techniques commonly necessitate the acquisition of costly data and struggle to achieve satisfactory results from a small number of casual images. In this paper, we investigate this task from a few-shot unconstrained photo album. The reconstruction of human avatars from such data sources is challenging because of limited data amount and dynamic articulated poses. For handling dynamic data, we integrate a skinning mechanism with deep marching tetrahedra (DMTet) to form a drivable tetrahedral representation, which drives arbitrary mesh topologies generated by the DMTet for the adaptation of unconstrained images. To effectively mine instructive information from few-shot data, we devise a two-phase optimization method with few-shot reference and few-shot guidance. The former focuses on aligning avatar identity with reference images, while the latter aims to generate plausible appearances for unseen regions. Overall, our framework, called HaveFun, can undertake avatar reconstruction, rendering, and animation. Extensive experiments on our developed benchmarks demonstrate that HaveFun exhibits substantially superior performance in reconstructing the human body and hand. AutoTS: Automatic Time Series Forecasting Model Design Based on Two-Stage PruningChunnan Wang, Xingyu Chen, Chengyue Wu et al.
Automatic Time Series Forecasting (TSF) model design which aims to help users to efficiently design suitable forecasting model for the given time series data scenarios, is a novel research topic to be urgently solved. In this paper, we propose AutoTS algorithm trying to utilize the existing design skills and design efficient search methods to effectively solve this problem. In AutoTS, we extract effective design experience from the existing TSF works. We allow the effective combination of design experience from different sources, so as to create an effective search space containing a variety of TSF models to support different TSF tasks. Considering the huge search space, in AutoTS, we propose a two-stage pruning strategy to reduce the search difficulty and improve the search efficiency. In addition, in AutoTS, we introduce the knowledge graph to reveal associations between module options. We make full use of these relational information to learn higher-level features of each module option, so as to further improve the search quality. Extensive experimental results show that AutoTS is well-suited for the TSF area. It is more efficient than the existing neural architecture search algorithms, and can quickly design powerful TSF model better than the manually designed ones.

World-Ego Modeling for Long-Horizon Evolution in Hybrid Embodied TasksZuyao Lin, Jianhui Zhang, Peidong Jia et al.
World models are widely explored in embodied intelligence, yet they typically predict distinct evolutions of the world and the ego within a single stream, where the world captures persistent instruction-agnostic scene regularities and the ego captures robot-centric instruction-conditioned dynamics. This world-ego entanglement leads to a degradation in long-horizon embodied scenarios, particularly in hybrid tasks with interleaved navigation and manipulation behaviors. In this paper, we introduce \emph{World-Ego Modeling}, a new conceptual paradigm that decomposes future evolution into world and ego components. We define the world-ego boundary from three perspectives, i.e., motion-, semantic-, and intention-based views, and analyze three disentanglement strategies with post-, pre-, and full disentanglement. Further, we instantiate this paradigm as the World-Ego Model (WEM), a unified embodied world model that couples an implicit separate world-ego planner with a cascade-parallel mixture-of-experts (CP-MoE) diffusion generator. To enable rigorous evaluation, we further construct HTEWorld, the first benchmark for long-horizon world modeling with hybrid navigation-manipulation tasks, providing 125K video clips (over 4.5M frames) with fine-grained action annotations and 300 multi-turn evaluation trajectories (over 2K instructions). Extensive experiments show that WEM achieves state-of-the-art performance on HTEWorld while remaining competitive on existing manipulation-only benchmarks.

AffordSim: A Scalable Data Generator and Benchmark for Affordance-Aware Robotic ManipulationMingyang Li, Haofan Xu, Haowen Sun et al.
Simulation-based data generation has become a dominant paradigm for training robotic manipulation policies, yet existing platforms do not incorporate object affordance information into trajectory generation. As a result, tasks requiring precise interaction with specific functional regions--grasping a mug by its handle, pouring from a cup's rim, or hanging a mug on a hook--cannot be automatically generated with semantically correct trajectories. We introduce AffordSim, the first simulation framework that integrates open-vocabulary 3D affordance prediction into the manipulation data generation pipeline. AffordSim uses our VoxAfford model, an open-vocabulary 3D affordance detector that enhances MLLM output tokens with multi-scale geometric features, to predict affordance maps on object point clouds, guiding grasp pose estimation toward task-relevant functional regions. Built on NVIDIA Isaac Sim with cross-embodiment support (Franka FR3, Panda, UR5e, Kinova), VLM-powered task generation, and novel domain randomization using DA3-based 3D Gaussian reconstruction from real photographs, AffordSim enables automated, scalable generation of affordance-aware manipulation data. We establish a benchmark of 50 tasks across 7 categories (grasping, placing, stacking, pushing/pulling, pouring, mug hanging, long-horizon composite) and evaluate 4 imitation learning baselines (BC, Diffusion Policy, ACT, Pi 0.5). Our results reveal that while grasping is largely solved (53-93% success), affordance-demanding tasks such as pouring into narrow containers (1-43%) and mug hanging (0-47%) remain significantly more challenging for current imitation learning methods, highlighting the need for affordance-aware data generation. Zero-shot sim-to-real experiments on a real Franka FR3 validate the transferability of the generated data.

Dancing with Critiques: Enhancing LLM Reasoning with Stepwise Natural Language Self-CritiqueYansi Li, Jiahao Xu, Tian Liang et al.
Enhancing the reasoning capabilities of large language models (LLMs), particularly for complex tasks requiring multi-step logical deductions, remains a significant challenge. Traditional inference time scaling methods utilize scalar reward signals from process reward models to evaluate candidate reasoning steps, but these scalar rewards lack the nuanced qualitative information essential for understanding and justifying each step. In this paper, we propose a novel inference-time scaling approach -- stepwise natural language self-critique (PANEL), which employs self-generated natural language critiques as feedback to guide the step-level search process. By generating rich, human-readable critiques for each candidate reasoning step, PANEL retains essential qualitative information, facilitating better-informed decision-making during inference. This approach bypasses the need for task-specific verifiers and the associated training overhead, making it broadly applicable across diverse tasks. Experimental results on challenging reasoning benchmarks, including AIME and GPQA, demonstrate that PANEL significantly enhances reasoning performance, outperforming traditional scalar reward-based methods. Toward Reliable Sim-to-Real Predictability for MoE-based Robust Quadrupedal LocomotionTianyang Wu, Hanwei Guo, Yuhang Wang et al.
Reinforcement learning has shown strong promise for quadrupedal agile locomotion, even with proprioception-only sensing. In practice, however, sim-to-real gap and reward overfitting in complex terrains can produce policies that fail to transfer, while physical validation remains risky and inefficient. To address these challenges, we introduce a unified framework encompassing a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) locomotion policy for robust multi-terrain representation with RoboGauge, a predictive assessment suite that quantifies sim-to-real transferability. The MoE policy employs a gated set of specialist experts to decompose latent terrain and command modeling, achieving superior deployment robustness and generalization via proprioception alone. RoboGauge further provides multi-dimensional proprioception-based metrics via sim-to-sim tests over terrains, difficulty levels, and domain randomizations, enabling reliable MoE policy selection without extensive physical trials. Experiments on a Unitree Go2 demonstrate robust locomotion on unseen challenging terrains, including snow, sand, stairs, slopes, and 30 cm obstacles. In dedicated high-speed tests, the robot reaches 4 m/s and exhibits an emergent narrow-width gait associated with improved stability at high velocity.

GeoHand: Unlocking Prior Geometry Knowledge for Monocular 3D Hand ReconstructionWeiquan Lin, Yaoqing Hu, Liangchen Dai et al.
Monocular 3D hand reconstruction is intrinsically a geometric problem, yet RGB appearance features alone often struggle to resolve severe ambiguities caused by self-occlusions and hand-object interactions. While introducing depth can explicitly provide spatial cues, raw sensor-captured depth maps are extensively noisy and incomplete, limiting their usefulness for fine-grained hand reconstruction. To bridge this gap, we propose GeoHand, a novel framework that unlocks high-quality geometric priors from a frozen foundational monocular geometry estimator (MoGe2). Recognizing that these priors are oriented toward general scenes, we introduce a map-level GeoAdapter to recalibrate the spatial features, specifically adapting them for detailed hand reconstruction. Furthermore, to systematically integrate these adapted priors without overwhelming intrinsic RGB appearance cues, we employ a gated cross-modal token fusion strategy. Finally, to secure precise local articulation, we design a Keypoint-Queried Iterative Refiner (KQIR) that uses projected joint locations to query geometry-aware image features for spatial correction. By combining global geometric disambiguation with local refinement in a unified pipeline, GeoHand achieves state-of-the-art performance on FreiHAND, DexYCB, and HO3Dv3, especially under severe occlusions and hand-object interactions.

RaSA: Rank-Sharing Low-Rank AdaptationZhiwei He, Zhaopeng Tu, Xing Wang et al.
Low-rank adaptation (LoRA) has been prominently employed for parameter-efficient fine-tuning of large language models (LLMs). However, the limited expressive capacity of LoRA, stemming from the low-rank constraint, has been recognized as a bottleneck, particularly in rigorous tasks like code generation and mathematical reasoning. To address this limitation, we introduce Rank-Sharing Low-Rank Adaptation (RaSA), an innovative extension that enhances the expressive capacity of LoRA by leveraging partial rank sharing across layers. By forming a shared rank pool and applying layer-specific weighting, RaSA effectively increases the number of ranks without augmenting parameter overhead. Our theoretically grounded and empirically validated approach demonstrates that RaSA not only maintains the core advantages of LoRA but also significantly boosts performance in challenging code and math tasks. Sentient Agent as a Judge: Evaluating Higher-Order Social Cognition in Large Language ModelsBang Zhang, Ruotian Ma, Qingxuan Jiang et al.
Assessing how well a large language model (LLM) understands human, rather than merely text, remains an open challenge. To bridge the gap, we introduce Sentient Agent as a Judge (SAGE), an automated evaluation framework that measures an LLM's higher-order social cognition. SAGE instantiates a Sentient Agent that simulates human-like emotional changes and inner thoughts during interaction, providing a more realistic evaluation of the tested model in multi-turn conversations. At every turn, the agent reasons about (i) how its emotion changes, (ii) how it feels, and (iii) how it should reply, yielding a numerical emotion trajectory and interpretable inner thoughts. Experiments on 100 supportive-dialogue scenarios show that the final Sentient emotion score correlates strongly with Barrett-Lennard Relationship Inventory (BLRI) ratings and utterance-level empathy metrics, validating psychological fidelity. We also build a public Sentient Leaderboard covering 18 commercial and open-source models that uncovers substantial gaps (up to 4x) between frontier systems (GPT-4o-Latest, Gemini2.5-Pro) and earlier baselines, gaps not reflected in conventional leaderboards (e.g., Arena). SAGE thus provides a principled, scalable and interpretable tool for tracking progress toward genuinely empathetic and socially adept language agents.

Generation-Augmented Generation: A Plug-and-Play Framework for Private Knowledge Injection in Large Language ModelsRongji Li, Jian Xu, Xueqing Chen et al.
In domains such as biomedicine, materials, and finance, high-stakes deployment of large language models (LLMs) requires injecting private, domain-specific knowledge that is proprietary, fast-evolving, and under-represented in public pretraining. However, the two dominant paradigms for private knowledge injection each have pronounced drawbacks: fine-tuning is expensive to iterate, and continual updates risk catastrophic forgetting and general-capability regression; retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) keeps the base model intact but is brittle in specialized private corpora due to chunk-induced evidence fragmentation, retrieval drift, and long-context pressure that yields query-dependent prompt inflation. Inspired by how multimodal LLMs align heterogeneous modalities into a shared semantic space, we propose Generation-Augmented Generation (GAG), which treats private expertise as an additional expert modality and injects it via a compact, representation-level interface aligned to the frozen base model, avoiding prompt-time evidence serialization while enabling plug-and-play specialization and scalable multi-domain composition with reliable selective activation. Across two private scientific QA benchmarks (immunology adjuvant and catalytic materials) and mixed-domain evaluations, GAG improves specialist performance over strong RAG baselines by 15.34% and 14.86% on the two benchmarks, respectively, while maintaining performance on six open general benchmarks and enabling near-oracle selective activation for scalable multi-domain deployment.

Do NOT Think That Much for 2+3=? On the Overthinking of o1-Like LLMsXingyu Chen, Jiahao Xu, Tian Liang et al.
The remarkable performance of models like the OpenAI o1 can be attributed to their ability to emulate human-like long-time thinking during inference. These models employ extended chain-of-thought (CoT) processes, exploring multiple strategies to enhance problem-solving capabilities. However, a critical question remains: How to intelligently and efficiently scale computational resources during testing. This paper presents the first comprehensive study on the prevalent issue of overthinking in these models, where excessive computational resources are allocated for simple problems with minimal benefit. We introduce novel efficiency metrics from both outcome and process perspectives to evaluate the rational use of computational resources by o1-like models. Using a self-training paradigm, we propose strategies to mitigate overthinking, streamlining reasoning processes without compromising accuracy. Experimental results show that our approach successfully reduces computational overhead while preserving model performance across a range of testsets with varying difficulty levels, such as GSM8K, MATH500, GPQA, and AIME.

Human3R: Everyone Everywhere All at OnceYue Chen, Xingyu Chen, Yuxuan Xue et al.
We present Human3R, a unified, feed-forward framework for online 4D human-scene reconstruction, in the world frame, from casually captured monocular videos. Unlike previous approaches that rely on multi-stage pipelines, iterative contact-aware refinement between humans and scenes, and heavy dependencies, e.g., human detection, depth estimation, and SLAM pre-processing, Human3R jointly recovers global multi-person SMPL-X bodies ("everyone"), dense 3D scene ("everywhere"), and camera trajectories in a single forward pass ("all-at-once"). Our method builds upon the 4D online reconstruction model CUT3R, and uses parameter-efficient visual prompt tuning, to strive to preserve CUT3R's rich spatiotemporal priors, while enabling direct readout of multiple SMPL-X bodies. Human3R is a unified model that eliminates heavy dependencies and iterative refinement. After being trained on the relatively small-scale synthetic dataset BEDLAM for just one day on one GPU, it achieves superior performance with remarkable efficiency: it reconstructs multiple humans in a one-shot manner, along with 3D scenes, in one stage, at real-time speed (15 FPS) with a low memory footprint (8 GB). Extensive experiments demonstrate that Human3R delivers state-of-the-art or competitive performance across tasks, including global human motion estimation, local human mesh recovery, video depth estimation, and camera pose estimation, with a single unified model. We hope that Human3R will serve as a simple yet strong baseline, be easily extended for downstream applications.Code available in https://fanegg.github.io/Human3R
