GUI-ARP: Enhancing Grounding with Adaptive Region Perception for GUI Agents

Xianhang Ye, Yiqing Li, Wei Dai et al.

Existing GUI grounding methods often struggle with fine-grained localization in high-resolution screenshots. To address this, we propose GUI-ARP, a novel framework that enables adaptive multi-stage inference. Equipped with the proposed Adaptive Region Perception (ARP) and Adaptive Stage Controlling (ASC), GUI-ARP dynamically exploits visual attention for cropping task-relevant regions and adapts its inference strategy, performing a single-stage inference for simple cases and a multi-stage analysis for more complex scenarios. This is achieved through a two-phase training pipeline that integrates supervised fine-tuning with reinforcement fine-tuning based on Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO). Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed GUI-ARP achieves state-of-the-art performance on challenging GUI grounding benchmarks, with a 7B model reaching 60.8% accuracy on ScreenSpot-Pro and 30.9% on UI-Vision benchmark. Notably, GUI-ARP-7B demonstrates strong competitiveness against open-source 72B models (UI-TARS-72B at 38.1%) and proprietary models.

ChineseWebText 2.0: Large-Scale High-quality Chinese Web Text with Multi-dimensional and fine-grained information

Wanyue Zhang, Ziyong Li, Wen Yang et al.

During the development of large language models (LLMs), pre-training data play a critical role in shaping LLMs' capabilities. In recent years several large-scale and high-quality pre-training datasets have been released to accelerate the research of LLMs, including ChineseWebText1.0, C4, Pile, WanJuan, MAPCC and others. However, as LLMs continue to evolve, focus has increasingly shifted to domain-specific capabilities and safety concerns, making those previous coarse-grained texts insufficient for meeting training requirements. Furthermore, fine-grained information, such as quality, domain and toxicity, is becoming increasingly important in building powerful and reliable LLMs for various scenarios. To address these challenges, in this paper we propose a new tool-chain called MDFG-tool for constructing large-scale and high-quality Chinese datasets with multi-dimensional and fine-grained information. First, we employ manually crafted rules to discard explicit noisy texts from raw contents. Second, the quality evaluation model, domain classifier, and toxicity evaluation model are well-designed to assess the remaining cleaned data respectively. Finally, we integrate these three types of fine-grained information for each text. With this approach, we release the largest, high-quality and fine-grained Chinese text ChineseWebText2.0, which consists of 3.8TB and each text is associated with a quality score, domain labels, a toxicity label and a toxicity score, facilitating the LLM researchers to select data based on various types of fine-grained information. The data, codes and the tool-chain are available on this website https://github.com/CASIA-LM/ChineseWebText-2.0

Medical Datasets Collections for Artificial Intelligence-based Medical Image Analysis

Yang Wen

We collected 32 public datasets, of which 28 for medical imaging and 4 for natural images, to conduct study. The images of these datasets are captured by different cameras, thus vary from each other in modality, frame size and capacity. For data accessibility, we also provide the websites of most datasets and hope this will help the readers reach the datasets.

Semantic Change Detection with Asymmetric Siamese Networks

Kunping Yang, Gui-Song Xia, Zicheng Liu et al.

Given two multi-temporal aerial images, semantic change detection aims to locate the land-cover variations and identify their change types with pixel-wise boundaries. This problem is vital in many earth vision related tasks, such as precise urban planning and natural resource management. Existing state-of-the-art algorithms mainly identify the changed pixels by applying homogeneous operations on each input image and comparing the extracted features. However, in changed regions, totally different land-cover distributions often require heterogeneous features extraction procedures w.r.t each input. In this paper, we present an asymmetric siamese network (ASN) to locate and identify semantic changes through feature pairs obtained from modules of widely different structures, which involve areas of various sizes and apply different quantities of parameters to factor in the discrepancy across different land-cover distributions. To better train and evaluate our model, we create a large-scale well-annotated SEmantic Change detectiON Dataset (SECOND), while an Adaptive Threshold Learning (ATL) module and a Separated Kappa (SeK) coefficient are proposed to alleviate the influences of label imbalance in model training and evaluation. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model can stably outperform the state-of-the-art algorithms with different encoder backbones.

Structure-Aware Network for Lane Marker Extraction with Dynamic Vision Sensor

Wensheng Cheng, Hao Luo, Wen Yang et al.

Lane marker extraction is a basic yet necessary task for autonomous driving. Although past years have witnessed major advances in lane marker extraction with deep learning models, they all aim at ordinary RGB images generated by frame-based cameras, which limits their performance in extreme cases, like huge illumination change. To tackle this problem, we introduce Dynamic Vision Sensor (DVS), a type of event-based sensor to lane marker extraction task and build a high-resolution DVS dataset for lane marker extraction. We collect the raw event data and generate 5,424 DVS images with a resolution of 1280$\times$800 pixels, the highest one among all DVS datasets available now. All images are annotated with multi-class semantic segmentation format. We then propose a structure-aware network for lane marker extraction in DVS images. It can capture directional information comprehensively with multidirectional slice convolution. We evaluate our proposed network with other state-of-the-art lane marker extraction models on this dataset. Experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms other competitors. The dataset is made publicly available, including the raw event data, accumulated images and labels.

Semantic Change Pattern Analysis

Wensheng Cheng, Yan Zhang, Xu Lei et al.

Change detection is an important problem in vision field, especially for aerial images. However, most works focus on traditional change detection, i.e., where changes happen, without considering the change type information, i.e., what changes happen. Although a few works have tried to apply semantic information to traditional change detection, they either only give the label of emerging objects without taking the change type into consideration, or set some kinds of change subjectively without specifying semantic information. To make use of semantic information and analyze change types comprehensively, we propose a new task called semantic change pattern analysis for aerial images. Given a pair of co-registered aerial images, the task requires a result including both where and what changes happen. We then describe the metric adopted for the task, which is clean and interpretable. We further provide the first well-annotated aerial image dataset for this task. Extensive baseline experiments are conducted as reference for following works. The aim of this work is to explore high-level information based on change detection and facilitate the development of this field with the publicly available dataset.

Line-based Camera Pose Estimation in Point Cloud of Structured Environments

Huai Yu, Weikun Zhen, Wen Yang et al.

Accurate registration of 2D imagery with point clouds is a key technology for image-LiDAR point cloud fusion, camera to laser scanner calibration and camera localization. Despite continuous improvements, automatic registration of 2D and 3D data without using additional textured information still faces great challenges. In this paper, we propose a new 2D-3D registration method to estimate 2D-3D line feature correspondences and the camera pose in untextured point clouds of structured environments. Specifically, we first use geometric constraints between vanishing points and 3D parallel lines to compute all feasible camera rotations. Then, we utilize a hypothesis testing strategy to estimate the 2D-3D line correspondences and the translation vector. By checking the consistency with computed correspondences, the best rotation matrix can be found. Finally, the camera pose is further refined using non-linear optimization with all the 2D-3D line correspondences. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method on the synthetic and real dataset (outdoors and indoors) with repeated structures and rapid depth changes.
